Clédat & Petitpierre [FRANCE]
Sat 11 & Sun June / 3.30pm – 4.30pm
The inventive duo of visual artists and choreographers Clédat & Petitpierre presents this performance featuring two larger-than-life living dolls made entirely of pleated tulle. The dolls, in striped bathing suits and accessorised with towels and a yellow ball, sunbathe, play, and laze about as if they were on a beach.
The whimsical performance plays with simple gestures and rituals and turns them into a sculptural celebration of love and idleness.
The Bathers will lounge around among the festival-goers in the grounds of Carlow College before going for a leisurely saunter in the sunshine. Follow their lead and join them!
